We absolutely understand that choosing to work with micro-budgets you have to be mad on some level - hence we named our educational YouTube channel Micro-Budget Madness! Don't get us wrong, being a micro-budget filmmaker is not a bad thing, it just means that you have to approach filmmaking with a DIY mentality.

Though this channel we break down how to produce, shoot and distribute micro-budget films with examples from our own micro-budget films, as well as mainstream films with a micro-budget element. We share all our experiences, from festival tips, career advice, distribution, smart business practices and everything else in between!

While some parts of Europe has been enjoying a heat wave, our Balkan short film Roniti has been enjoying some festival fun, just in time to spread the summer vibes.

After returning from Bulgaria, where the coming of age drama screened in Pernik, Sofia as part of 21st In The Palace Short Film Festival, we got word that Roniti was also selected for one of our favourite festivals, Gozo Film Festival, Malta.

We hope that there are more festivals to come for our 20 minute short about a mother and her teenage daughter, who on a summer holiday in Zadar must navigate their relationship after a family scandal.

Introducing our latest short Life Improvised short film 'Roniti.’

Filmed over summer in Zadar Croatia, the synopsis is as follows; During a summer holiday, a mother and her teenage daughter must learn to navigate their strained relationship after a family scandal.
